Road Repair

Uretek India expertise in the maintenance of Roads, Highways and Freeways ensures fast, unobtrusive and low cost solutions for the remediation of problems arising from deteriorated sub-base. Uretek India fills voids, re-supporting sunken road sections, re-seals leaking culverts and pipes and compacts soft subbase with a unique system superior to alternate methods – and we do it in short time frames when least inconvenient to road users.

Rigid Pavements

Uretek India’s early projects were nearly all rigid pavements, so it follows that we have a long history of undertaking such work and can boast a significant expertise in the area. Quite simply, our technology is fast, works at times convenient to the traffic flow and allows for immediate possession of the work area once operations are complete.  Our work at Vijaywada Airport is testament to this.  This project increased the bearing capacity of a section of runway extension that was being up graded. This work was successfully carried out at night eliminating any closures. Post injection DCP testing proved up the results.

Flexible Pavements

Uretek India’s Technical Team has developed the GeoResin ground compaction technology so it also out performs any other method in compacting soft / weak subbase under flexible payments both in roads and airports. This method has now been successfully utilised internationally. Norwich airport is a fine example. At Norwich our team stabilised a problematic sections of asphalt pavement prior to new overlay.

Hinge Slabs

Modern freeway bridges have hinged transition slabs on both approach and departure sides supported at one end by the concrete bridge and on the other by the compacted earth embankment. These transition slabs bridge the hard to compact earth sections adjacent the reinforced structure to reduce localised settlement thereby promoting smoother vehicle transitions onto the bridge which reduces the dynamic loads on the bridge, which in turn reduces damage to the bridge itself.  At times some of these transition slabs drop or settle at the outside end as the earth embankment settles, and remedial action needs to be taken. Whilst overlaying with more asphalt may temporarily improve the ride it does not solve the settlement problems which continue.  Uretek India’s sophisticated GeoResin Injection technology and ground compaction techniques are the single most superior method to stop further settlements and to lift and realign the slabs thereby giving a permanent solution.  Uretek India is fast and convenient for both the road owner and the road user. UIPL can lift these slabs one lane at a time while traffic moves around us.

Culvert Maintenance

When culverts get undermined, road users are placed in danger, particularly in flash flood situations. Uretek India underseals the base of the culvert making sure that water does not flow under the culvert but through it.

Pipe Maintenance

When pipes break, the surrounding soils eventually leach into the pipe, blocking the pipe, and undermining the road. URETEK India has the technology to repair these problems and to complete the work without having to dig up large areas of road.

Many situations that would otherwise require extensive road works can be remedied in a day (or night) by resin injecting the voids around the pipes.

Void Filling

The section of road at right actually forms a retaining wall for water during times of flood. Large quantities of material were being leached out each time it flooded leaving gaping holes under the pavement which eventually would lead to the road being washed away in a major rain event.

Over a period of several weeks, Uretek was able to stabilize this road in a very remote part of Australia thus demonstrating that no matter where the job is, Uretek is equipped to do the job successfully.
